The trail winds through dense Pine, Deodar, and Oak forests, high-altitude meadows, ancient mountain ridges, sacred lakes, and centuries-old forts while offering spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of the Great Himalayan National Park.
Starting from Jibhi, you’ll drive to the famous Jalori Pass (3,132 m) before trekking to the sacred Serolsar Lake, exploring the historic Raghupur Fort, visiting the fascinating Quartz Crystal Caves, crossing the scenic Lambhari Top (3,610 m), and camping in pristine alpine meadows.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 | Jibhi – Jalori Pass – Raghupur Fort – Serolsar Lake
Distance: 11 km
Duration: 6 Hours
After an early breakfast, drive approximately 12 km from Jibhi to the scenic Jalori Pass (3,132 m).
Begin your trek towards the historic Raghupur Fort, an ancient fort built by local rulers. The gradual ascent rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan valleys and snow-capped peaks.
After exploring the fort, return to Jalori Pass and continue trekking through beautiful oak forests to reach the sacred Serolsar Lake (2,980 m).
Camp beside the peaceful alpine lake and enjoy the serene Himalayan atmosphere.

Day 2 | Serolsar Lake – Crystal Caves
Distance: 13 km
Duration: 7 Hours
Today’s trek begins with a gradual ascent towards Notchi Top (3,567 m) before descending towards the base of Cheara Top (3,579 m).
The trail passes through stunning alpine meadows, offering magnificent views of the Great Himalayan Range.
Continue to the fascinating Quartz Crystal Caves, where naturally occurring mountain crystals can be collected as a unique souvenir.
This is the longest trekking day of the expedition but also one of the most rewarding.

Day 3 | Crystal Caves – Lambhari Top – Sarthi Thach
Highest Altitude: 3,610 m
After breakfast, spend some time exploring the crystal caves before continuing your journey.
Visit the sacred Lambhari Shrine at Lambhari Top (3,610 m), the highest point of the trek, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
From the summit, descend through scenic mountain trails to the beautiful alpine meadow of Sarthi Thach, one of the most picturesque camping locations on the route.
Overnight Stay: Sarthi Thach Camp
Day 4 | Sarthi Thach – Chehni Fort – Jibhi
Duration: Approximately 6 Hours
After breakfast, begin your descent through dense Himalayan forests towards the historic Chehni Fort, known for its traditional Kath-Kuni architecture and rich cultural heritage.
Continue descending through scenic forest trails until you arrive back in Jibhi, marking the successful completion of your Himalayan trekking adventure.

The forest offers many insights and we try and share our insights through introspective and meditative walks. We spend the day visiting some streams and woods.
